Introduction Many people use computer skills in their jobs but do not possess formal IT qualifications. Our IT Workshops allow you to achieve qualifications designed to recognise the skills, knowledge and understanding you have gained in employment. What you will study For the Certificate, you must achieve 13 credits which are acquired by successfully passing assignments in five units:- * Improving Productivity Using ICT (Mandatory Unit) - learn to plan and review the use of appropriate IT systems and software. * Word Processing Software - covers creating/managing files and folders and using word processing software to create and edit text files using basic formatting techniques. * Spreadsheet Software - gain knowledge in the use of a spreadsheet to enter, edit and present numerical data using formulae and basic formatting and graphing tools. * Database Software - learn how to use a database to add, amend, select, sort and print data within tables, queries and reports. * Presentation Software - enables you to produce, edit and present visual information using basic formatting tools, including importing an image file; OR For the Award, you must achieve 9 credits by passing assignments in three of the above units (excluding Improving Productivity Using ICT).
