This qualification has 4 units. They are: Level 3 Award in Understanding the Principles and Practice of assessment (unit 1). This unit addresses the knowledge and understanding required for the assessment. This is the first step in working towards the assessing qualification. Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment (unit 2) This unit focuses on the work in assessing candidates in the workplace. A workshop builds on the workbook we supply and we advise and support you as you collect your evidence to demonstrate your competence in the second unit. Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally related Achievement (Unit 1 & Unit 3). This is a 2 unit award where one unit is knowledge, and the other focuses upon your work in assessing candidates who are working with vocational qualifications probably in an educational context. Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement (unit 1, 2 & 3) - this is a 3 unit award made up of knowledge, and the additional units from both the workplace and the vocational awards. By working through the three individual awards, the certificate will then be awarded.
