This course is ideal for those who want to gain a good working knowledge of cookery and catering skills. The course is designed to not affect any benefits. Financial support may be available dependent on individual circumstances. You will study a range of topics, including international and European cookery and pastry skills. You will also learn about health and safety issues. The course is mostly practical, your course evidence will be collected as you study. The course is friendly with flexible times to suit childcare and people from different backgrounds are encouraged to join. Assessment will take place throughout the course with practical assessments and observations. You can progress onto NVQ 3 or VRQ 3 or employment within the catering industry in a variety of settings.
